Oessur Hilduberg is a maritime safety and quality professional with experience across towage, port operations, and across other types of marine operations. He currently works in a global role focused on operational assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on navigation safety, incident investigation, and management system effectiveness.
Oessur has a background in accident and incident investigation, applying contemporary safety thinking and systems-based analysis to identify underlying organisational, technical, and operational factors rather than individual blame. He has led the development and implementation of global standards, post-incident review frameworks, and assurance processes across multi-regional maritime operations.
His professional experience includes dual marine officer, Head of The Danish Maritime Accident Investigation Board as well as previous work as a Flag State surveyor. Oessur combines regulatory knowledge with operational insight to drive contemporary safety and performance improvements in marine operations.
