Alina Prylipko holds the position of Programme Manager Sustainable Maritime Operations in MLA College (United Kingdom). Alina has over fifteen years professional experience in the maritime industry, of which the last ten years she has been working in the area of maritime education, training and certification. She is qualified in international maritime law (LLM) and maritime education and training (MSc) and her areas of expertise are curriculum design and development, management of maritime education and training institutions and education for sustainable development.
Prior to joining MLA College, she worked for various governmental agencies in Ukraine, her home country, and later became involved in research and consultancy on various legal, environmental and social issues related to various aspects of sustainable development. She realised the complexity of the topic and its potential in addressing current global issues. Since that time, Alina has become passionate about the paradigm of sustainable development and its application in the maritime industry and has been actively engaged in its implementation in education.
